Illinois State fishing regulations apply. Additional Village ordinances apply for the lake. Boat decals are required for admittance on the lake.
Lake Herschel consists of a boat ramp, dock complex, maintenance building, adult work-out park and an open shelter. The lake is a "high use" area on summer weekends. The park is open year round, park closes at dark, except boating and fishing. Illinois Boat Decals for Herschel Lake are required. The Village of Tilton Police Department will enforce all lake rules and regulations.
